Make an app for your kirana shop

Stock that came in, what sold today, what is about to run out and the next order to your supplier, in one Android app with your dukaan’s name on it. Describe it in a chat, in Hinglish if you like, and AppCub builds it.

AppCub opens on 18 October 2026. Join the waitlist and we’ll message you on WhatsApp that day.

Describe your app and see the plan for free. Build it with a 2-day trial for ₹99.

Example design of a kirana stock app: today’s sales of ₹8,420, three items that will run out before Saturday, and an order to the supplier ready to send on WhatsApp.
“A stock app for my kirana shop. Note what came in and what sold, and tell me what’s running low before the weekend.” An example design from that request. Write about your own shop and AppCub plans the app around it.

What your app can do

Shop apps usually start with these. Ask for what your dukaan needs:

Items and stock

Every item with its price, unit (kg, packet, piece) and how many you have. Search by name.

Stock in, stock out

Note what the supplier delivered and what you sold. The count updates by itself.

Running low

Set a minimum for each item and see what is below it, before the weekend rush.

Order on WhatsApp

One tap makes a list of what to reorder and opens WhatsApp to your supplier.

Today’s sales

Sales for the day and the month, and which items sell the most.

More when you need it

Udhaar for regular customers, bills as PDF, a price list customers can order from. Ask in the chat.

What to write

Copy this, change the details to match your shop, and paste it into AppCub:

Make a stock app for my kirana shop, Sharma General Store in Lucknow. I want to add items with price, unit and how many I have, note stock that comes in from my supplier and items I sell, and see what is running low with a minimum for each item. Make a reorder list I can send to my supplier on WhatsApp at 98XXXXXXXX. Show today’s sales and this month’s total. Big buttons, Hindi labels where possible. Start with no items.

  1. Paste and send

AppCub asks if something important is unclear.

  2. Approve the plan

Check the screens and features. Change them for free until they are right.

  3. Try it

The app runs live next to the chat. Scan a QR code to install it on your phone.

  4. Ask for changes

Say what to change, or click the part of the app you want changed.

What it costs

  • A shop app like the one above usually takes 60 to 110 credits to build. Describing it and seeing AppCub’s plan is free; building it starts with a 2-day trial for ₹99 (150 credits, enough for the app and a few changes).
  • To publish on Google Play you need a paid plan, which includes the Play Store bundle and your app’s signing key. Starter is ₹1,599 a month for 700 credits.
  • Work that fails or is rolled back costs nothing, and every change comes with one free fix.

Good to know

  • A simple app keeps its data on the phone it runs on. If you and a helper should use the same stock on two phones, connect a Supabase database (it has a free plan) from the chat.
  • AppCub does not connect to a barcode scanner or billing machine out of the box. Ask for what you need and AppCub tells you honestly if it can’t do it.
  • AppCub builds Android apps and can put your app online as a web link that opens on any phone. For the iPhone App Store, our team can do it for you.

Questions

Can the same app keep udhaar for customers?

Yes. Ask for an udhaar section when you describe the app, or start from the ready-made udhaar khata app and add stock to it in the chat.

Can customers order from my shop in the app?

Yes. Ask for a price list customers can pick from, with the order sent to your WhatsApp. To show the stock you update on their phones too, connect a Supabase database.

Will it work without internet?

An app that keeps its data on your phone works offline. An app connected to an online database needs internet to sync.

Can I print bills?

The app can make a bill as a PDF that you share on WhatsApp or print from your phone. Ask for it in the chat.

Can I write to AppCub in Hindi or Hinglish?

Yes. Write the way you normally do, in English, Hindi or Hinglish. You can also ask for the app’s own buttons and labels in Hindi.

What if I want to change something later?

Open the app in AppCub and say what should change, or click the part of the app you want changed. You can always go back to an earlier version.
