Make your own udhaar khata app

Every customer’s udhaar and jama, what is still baaki, and a reminder on WhatsApp, in an Android app with your shop’s name on it. Describe it in a chat, in Hinglish if you like, and AppCub builds it.

Describe your app and see the plan for free. Build it with a 2-day trial for ₹99.

Udhaar khata app for Sharma Kirana Store showing total udhaar outstanding of ₹450, today’s udhaar and jama, and a customer list sorted by highest debt with a limit warning.
Total baaki, today’s udhaar and jama, customers by highest due.
A customer’s page showing ₹450 udhaar baaki, a credit limit exceeded warning, WhatsApp Reminder and PDF Bill buttons, and the list of entries.
One customer: entries, limit warning, WhatsApp reminder and PDF bill.

These are screens of a real app AppCub built in a test on 4 October 2026 and then used to add entries. The customer and amounts are sample data.

What your app can do

Khata apps usually start with these. Ask for what your shop needs:

Customers and dues

Every customer with phone number and what they owe, sorted so the biggest dues come first.

Udhaar and jama in one tap

Two big buttons: “Gave udhaar” and “Got jama”. Every entry is dated and can be edited.

Credit limit

Set a limit per customer and see a warning when someone goes over it.

WhatsApp reminder

One tap opens WhatsApp with a polite message and the amount due, ready to send.

PDF bill

A statement of a customer’s entries that you can share or print.

Your shop’s name

Your shop’s name and colours, and labels in Hindi if you prefer.

What to write

Copy this, change the details to match your shop, and paste it into AppCub:

Mere kirana store, Sharma Kirana Store, ke liye udhaar khata app banao. Customers ko naam aur phone ke saath add karun. Har customer ke liye “Udhaar diya” aur “Jama mila” entries, date ke saath. What it costs

  • A khata app like the one above usually takes 60 to 110 credits to build. Describing it and seeing AppCub’s plan is free; building it starts with a 2-day trial for ₹99 (150 credits, enough for the app and a few changes).
  • To publish on Google Play you need a paid plan, which includes the Play Store bundle and your app’s signing key. Starter is ₹1,599 a month for 700 credits.
  • Work that fails or is rolled back costs nothing, and every change comes with one free fix.

Good to know

  • This kind of app keeps the khata on your phone, which works offline and stays private. If the phone is lost or reset, the data goes with it, so ask for a backup to a file you can save, or connect a Supabase database (it has a free plan) to keep the khata online and use it on two phones.
  • AppCub builds Android apps and can put your app online as a web link that opens on any phone. For the iPhone App Store, our team can do it for you.
  • To put the app on Google Play you need your own Google Play developer account, which costs a one-time US$25 fee to Google.

Questions

Why make my own khata app instead of using a ready-made one?

Your own app works the way your shop does: your fields, your limits, your reminder message, your name on it. Nobody else’s ads or offers, and the data stays with you.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. A khata app that keeps its data on the phone works fully offline. Sending a WhatsApp reminder needs internet at that moment.

Can my staff use it on another phone?

Yes, if you connect an online database: ask AppCub to connect Supabase from the chat. Then both phones see the same khata.

Can I write the app’s labels in Hindi?

Yes. Ask for Hindi or Hinglish labels, like “Udhaar diya” and “Jama mila”, and AppCub uses them.

Will customers see my khata?

No. The app is for you. Customers only get the WhatsApp message or PDF that you choose to send.

What if I want to change something later?

Open the app in AppCub and say what should change, or click the part of the app you want changed. You can always go back to an earlier version.
