Privacy Policy
Effective 30 September 2026. Last updated 6 October 2026.
AppCub (“AppCub”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Lagnever Technologies Private Limited, India. AppCub lets you describe an app in a chat, has an AI agent plan and write it, shows you a live preview, and builds Android app files (APK and AAB) you can install or publish. This policy explains what we collect when you use the AppCub app and website at appcub.ai, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It is written to meet India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and Google Play’s requirements.
1. Information we collect
| What | Examples | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Account information | Name, email address, profile photo (from Google sign-in or email sign-up), a user ID | To create and secure your account and sign you in |
| Your projects | Chat messages describing your apps, the plans the agent proposes, the source code it writes, app names, package names, icons or logos you add | To build, preview and change your apps. This is the core of the service. |
| Notes about you (memory) | A few short notes the AI keeps so your next app starts in your style: what you do, the language you write in, the look you like, things you always or never want | To make new apps and replies fit you without asking again. Passwords, keys, phone numbers and emails are filtered out and never kept. You can see, change, switch off or erase these notes at any time. |
| Notification token | If you turn on “notify me”, an identifier for your browser or phone | To send you a notification when your app is ready. Removed when you delete your account. |
| Connected accounts | If you connect a service (Supabase, GitHub, Figma, Razorpay): the access it grants AppCub, or for Razorpay the two keys you enter. Stored encrypted | So AppCub can do the work you asked for in that account: set up your app’s database and sign-in, keep a copy of your code, read the design you link, set up payments in your app. Removed when you disconnect the service or delete your account |
| Launch enquiries | If you fill in the form on our launch pages: your name, email, phone number if you give one, your app’s name and your message | To reply to you about launching your app. Not used for anything else |
| Build files | Generated APK and AAB files, and a signing key created for each of your apps | So you can install your app and publish updates on Google Play with the same key |
| Purchases | Plan or top-up bought, amount, Razorpay subscription, order and payment IDs, renewal dates, and how many credits you’ve used | To give you what you paid for, prevent double charging, handle renewals, cancellations and refunds, and meet tax law |
| Usage and technical data | How much AI work each request used, error reports, IP address and request logs on our servers | To count plan usage correctly, keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems |
We don’t collect your contacts, SMS, call logs, location, photos, microphone or camera. The AppCub Android app only asks for internet access. We never receive your card, UPI or bank details: payments are handled entirely by Razorpay.
2. How we use it
- To provide the service: run the AI agent, generate code, show previews and build your app files.
- To manage your account, plan and payments, and to send service messages (for example, a payment receipt or an important change to these terms).
- To keep AppCub safe: detect abuse, fraud and attempts to build harmful apps.
- To improve AppCub, for example by measuring build success rates and costs. We do this with usage statistics; we don’t read your projects for this unless you ask us for help with one.
- To help you and to fix problems: a small number of our staff can open a project and its conversation when you ask for help, when a build has failed, or to check a report of abuse. Every time this happens it is recorded.
- To meet legal obligations, such as keeping tax records.
We process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the service you signed up for), with your consent where the law requires it, and where necessary for legal compliance. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.
3. AI processing
Your messages and project code are sent to Google Cloud Vertex AI (Gemini models) so the AI agent can plan and write your app. Under Google Cloud’s terms, this data is processed on our behalf and is not used by Google to train its models. We don’t use your projects to train AI models either.
AI-generated code can contain mistakes. Please review your app before publishing it (see our Terms).
4. Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers that help us run AppCub, under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only for us:
| Provider | Purpose | Data |
|---|---|---|
| Google Firebase Authentication | Sign-in | Name, email, profile photo, user ID |
| Google Cloud Vertex AI | AI agent (Gemini) | Your messages and project code |
| Amazon Web Services (Mumbai, India) | Hosting, database, backups | All data described above |
| Razorpay | Payments | Order amount, and what you enter on Razorpay’s checkout |
| Services you connect (Supabase, GitHub, Figma, Razorpay) | Only when you connect them, to do what you asked | What that work needs: your app’s tables and settings to Supabase, your app’s code to your GitHub, your Razorpay keys to your own Supabase project. From Figma we only read |
We may disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users. We never sell your personal data.
5. Where your data is stored
Your account, projects and build files are stored on Amazon Web Services in Mumbai, India. AI processing on Google Cloud and sign-in on Firebase may take place in other countries. Where data leaves India, we rely on those providers’ security commitments and transfer it only as the law allows.
6. How long we keep it
- Account and projects: while your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete them within 30 days.
- Backups: server backups are overwritten within 7 days; older versions of signing-key backups within 90 days.
- Server logs: 30 days.
- Payment records: kept for as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires (currently up to 8 years), even after you delete your account.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Our database is not reachable from the internet, access to production systems is restricted and logged, and the AI-written code in your projects is tested in an isolated sandbox that cannot reach our servers’ secrets or other users’ projects. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
8. Your rights
You can:
- Access a summary of your personal data and how we process it.
- Correct or update inaccurate data.
- See, change, switch off or erase the notes AppCub keeps about you: in the app under Account → Your data & privacy → What AppCub remembers about you.
- Delete your account and data: in the app under Settings → Delete account, or see how to delete your account.
- Get a copy of your apps’ source code and signing keys, so you can continue without AppCub.
- Withdraw consent and nominate someone to exercise your rights on your behalf, as allowed by the DPDP Act.
- Raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer (below), and if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.
Write to support@lagnevertech.com and we’ll respond within 30 days.
9. Children
AppCub is for people aged 18 and over. We don’t knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We’ll post any changes on this page and update the date above. If a change is significant, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
